Gerard Piqué and partner Clara Chía were photographed in the airport as the couple made their way to Dubrovnik, Croatia. The trip is to move away from stress and have a more relaxing time away from the spotlight. Piqué broke up with his ex-partner, Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, better known as Shakira, after being together for more than ten years.

The two had begun their relationship after Spain’s FIFA World Cup triumph. Piqué, at the time, was only 23 years old, playing in his prime for Barcelona FC, while Shakira was ten years older. Love has no age, and two has proven that as they would go on to have two kids. Milan and Sasha. However, Piqué and Shakira had an ugly public breakup. Gerard was having an affair with his current partner Clara Chía.

Shakira would release a song after her breakup, comparing herself to a Rolex and Clara Chía to a Casio. Pique responded by stating that Casios are made for life. However, he chose to stay silent on any other matters, as he wished that his children were not affected in any way. “I don’t feel like talking anymore. I just want my children to be okay,” Piqué told RAC1.

The vacation to Croatia is a step back for Piqué and his partner, who want to stay away from the spotlight. With matters with Shakira finally over and done with, the tranquil country of Croatia is exactly what Piqué and Clara are looking for.

On January 26, Gerard Piqué publicly announced his relationship with Clara Chía after uploading a photo of them on Instagram. Since his affair was public news, there was a 50-50 reaction to the announcement. A group of fans shared photos of Shakira in the comments, while others came to his defense, stating it was time to move on.

Since then, the couple has even made public appearances together. A more recent photo showed the couple having lunch together at a restaurant in Barcelona. Gerard Piqué has even publicly stated that he has found ‘love’ on a Twitch stream for the King’s League.

However, Clara’s life has become a bit harder after getting into a relationship with the ex-Barca player. She has had to turn off all social media, most likely due to online abuse. According to an agreement between Gerard and Shakira, Clara is not allowed to have any contact with Sasha or Milan. This has apparently distressed the 24-year-old.

The two have laid the foundations of their relationship on infidelity. This has caused both to bear the brunt of the public’s attention, which has been hard for Clara. They have not let this end things, as the couple now goes to Croatia to move away from all the stresses that they have already gone through as a couple.
