Gerard Pique frustrated with Shakira for taking children to Miami in the middle of their school year

The former couple have had their fair share of disagreements following their split in November.

Gerard Pique frustrated with Shakira for taking children to Miami in the middle of their school year

Gerard Pique was allegedly bothered that his children had to switch schools in the middle of the academic year. The Spaniard and his ex-partner separated last year and Shakira decided to move to the United States as a result. The Colombian relocated with her children to Miami.

According to reports, Pique was unhappy that Shakira wished to move away and discontinue their children’s schooling in Barcelona. The former couple reportedly had a clash over this disagreement. The Spaniard wished that his children complete another school year in Spain before leaving to make the moving process a little more bearable. However, it seems that his arguments were futile, as Shakira and her two boys have already settled in Miami.

Pique had recently flown to an exclusive resort in Abu Dhabi with his girlfriend, Clara Chia. The couple spent a few days in solitude and enjoyed each other’s company before returning to Spain. While Chia has remained in Spain, Pique has flown to Miami, to spend his allocated ten days a month with his children, and will return home once they are over. However, Pique has already spent five days with them earlier in the month, and will only enjoy the remaining five days with his children during his short trip to the States.

FC Barcelona have lost their recent league match against Rayo Vallecano by 2-1. With the Los Franjirrojos sitting at tenth position in the league prior to the game, a routine victory for the leaders was expected. However, the hosts managed to sneak away with all three points in the match.

The hosts scored their first goal in the 19th minute and doubled their advantage in the second half after a Fran Garcia strike. Barcelona did pull back a goal in the 83rd minute after Robert Lewandowski netted in his 18th in the league this season. However, it was too little too late, and the goal proved to be a consolation, as the visitors returned to the Catalan Capital without anything to show for their travels.

The Blaugrana have now dropped points in three of their last four league matches. With the Catalan side 11 points clear of their closest challengers, Real Madrid, a sense of complacency might be building at Camp Nou. However, if the leaders fail to come up with a winning run in the final stretch of the season, they could be in for a rough time, as Real Madrid could muster up yet another spectacular comeback.
