Gerard Pique‘s father, Joan Pique was approached and berated by a host of disgruntled Colombians. The Spanish footballing icon’s father has come into scrutiny recently over his role in the separation between his son and his former partner, Colombian singer, Shakira.

Joan Pique was confronted by a group of Shakira’s fans in a parking lot. The Spaniard was arriving at a broadcast organized by his son when he was approached by a few South Americans. The Colombians’ supporters began yelling at the Spaniard as well as reciting verses of the diss-track released by Shakira.

The Spaniard was in his car when the mob started yelling at him. Given the proximity of the Colombian’s fans, Joan did not lower his window and instead attempted to drive through the crowd. Gerard’s father has also been held responsible for his son’s actions and has been reprimanded for his own contribution towards the situation.

FC Barcelona’s winger Raphinha was recently quizzed about a possible contribution to the King’s League. The celebrity league is governed by the Brazilian’s former teammate, Gerard Pique. The two were unable to play together for long, though, with the Spanish defender choosing to retire halfway through the season.

While driving in his car, Raphinha was asked about the possibility of playing in the King’s League. The interviewer asked, “Raphinha, one question. If you got an offer from the Kings League, would you go to play?“. To this, the Brazilian responded, “The Kings League? One day. One day in the future“

The former Leeds United winger definitely has a lot more to offer to his current employers. Despite Barcelona’s soon-to-be La Liga win, the Brazilian has not performed to his complete potential. Raphinha has registered 11 goal contributions in 28 matches in the league which has so far failed to justify his €60 million price tag. However, the winger still has four years left on his contract, and will definitely improve following this season.
