“Give him that PE job and the Welsh lady lifestyle”- Fans go wild as Southampton sacks manager Nathan Jones just three months after signing

Undergoing a difficult 2022-23 season, Premier League club, Southampton, recently fired their manager, Nathan Jones, just three months after giving him the coaching role. The Saints are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table and tracking down their recent performances, it appears that they will most certainly be relegated at the end of the season.

After their defeat to Brentford last week, Southampton fans began singing, “In the morning, you’ll be sacked. Get out of our club, Nathan Jones.” They have lost the previous three Premier League games, but they have gone to the fifth round of the FA Cup, where they will face Grimsby Town. They last played poorly against the Wolves, losing the match 2-1 after Joao Gomes scored the game-winning goal late in the game. The decision is shocking as Jones had only been in command for three months before the news of his sacking broke in.

Southampton has finished the season’s first half but they need four points to be safe from the relegation zone. When they encounter next in the Premier League, Ruben Selles will now be the team’s coach. He is expected to do everything in his power to save Southampton from being relegated until a new manager takes charge.

“First-team lead coach Ruben Selles will take command of training and prepare the players ahead of next weekend’s game against Chelsea,” Southampton said on social media. Selles will attempt to get them back on track and out of the relegation zone as they gear up to fight against an out-of-form Chelsea next week.
