“Will always be his home,” Achraf Hakimi’s agent raises strong possibility of the Moroccan joining Real Madrid this summer

Achraf Hakimi is one of the highest-rated right-backs in the world. The Real Madrid youth academy graduate but was sold off eventually. However, he is constantly linked back to the Madrid club.
Real Madrid do need reinforcements at the right-back position of the club. The current starter Dani Carvajal is on the wrong side of the 30s and there is no natural replacement for him as neither Nacho nor Lucas Vasquez are natural right-backs. Hakimi is said to be a perfect player in that position.
Now Hakimi’s agent has reignited rumors with his statements. He said, “Achraf has spent 5 years outside Real Madrid now, but Real Madrid will always be his home.” This statement highlights an eventual homecoming to Real Madrid by Hakimi.
Alejandro Camano, Hakimi’s agent, also added the love player has for Real by further commenting, “Somewhere in his heart, there is Real Madrid that has been formed since he was a child.” Hakimi could be very well back at the Santiago Bernabeu as his future at PSG looks unsure.

Manchester City chasing Hakimi
Hakimi is apparently also being targetted by Manchester City this summer because Pep Guardiola is willing to spend ‘massive’ money on him. Manchester City recently won their first UEFA Champions League by defeating Inter and completing the treble. Despite this momentous accomplishment, Pep Guardiola allegedly wants to bolster his team this summer, and the blue side of Manchester is expected to undergo a significant revamp.
The international from Morocco committed to PSG in 2021. He cost the Ligue 1 team over £65 million and has already played in 80 games. The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the top full-backs in Europe and was instrumental in Morocco’s outstanding performance at the 2022 World Cup. He has been a star for PSG, contributing to 21 goals from defense.
The Moroccan’s position at the Paris club appears uncertain, and he is thinking about leaving. PSG’s season was tainted by scandal, as the team failed to repeat as Champions League champions. Hakimi is thinking about leaving after this. Due to the former Borussia Dortmund player’s contract, which runs through 2026, any agreement to sign the Moroccan might cost up to £80 million.
