Harry Kane continues his impressive start at Bayern Munich, becoming the fastest player in the club’s history to score nine goals in a season. In Bayern’s recent Bundesliga victory over Mainz, Kane scored a close-range header in the 16th minute.
The Englishman’s goal increased the lead to two. Later, Mainz responded with a goal by Anthony Caci in the 43rd minute. But in the end, it was just left to be a consolation. Finally, Leon Goretzka wrapped the game in the 59th minute. As a result, Bayern Munich now sits in 3rd place in the Bundesliga, behind VfB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen.
Although Harry Kane has scored 9 goals in the Bundesliga, he isn’t the top scorer. Guinean star Serhou Guirassy has an impressive 14 goals in the same number of games.
I enjoy playing in this team because I know I’m going to get some chances. We know there’s a long way to go but everything’s going really well.Harry Kane said in the post-match interview
It is not just his goals that are keeping the Bavarians delighted by the English striker. But even his playmaking skills has enchanted the German league. Harry Kane leads the Bundesliga with 4 assists to his name.
Bayern Munich will now travel to Turkey as they lock horns against Galatasaray on the 3rd match-day of the UEFA Champions League.
Harry Kane aims to win his first league title with Bayern Munich
Since his debut, Harry Kane has been plagued due to his lack of trophies. In recent times the England International has reached the Champions League final with Tottenham Hotspurs and the Euro 2021 finals with England failing at the final step in both tournaments. Now joining the German Giants who have won their league for 11 consecutive seasons, Harry Kane will look to put an end to his trophy drought.

The England Captain was, however, denied his maiden trophy – on his debut – as Bayern Munich were defeated 3-0 by RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup through a brilliant hattrick by Dani Olmo.
Now, Harry Kane faces yet another threat to his title troubles with Xabi Alonso’s free-flowing Bayer Leverkusen leading the Bundesliga in his debut season as a first-team manager. Manchester City also stands in the way of Bayern’s Champions League dreams as defending champions.
However, a team the size of Bayern Munich are favorite in 99% of the games they play. Only two points behind the current league leaders, Leverkusen, and currently top of their Champions League group, Harry Kane will look to win his first trophy since making his debut in 2009.
