“He came to Manchester United and his legs weren’t quite the same”- Football pundit on why Casemiro might not be successful at Old Trafford
Casemiro
Football experts and pundits think that maybe Casemiro would not have been a good option for Manchester United. The Red Devils have signed four players this season including Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez. Manchester United wants a better midfield which is probably why they went for Casemiro.
The Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is also a player with a lot of achievements and has proved himself as a great defensive midfielder throughout his days in Spain and Brazil. However, he is now being criticized for his age and the change he may not be able to bring in Manchester United.
Recently football pundit, Tony Cascarino, compared him to Bastian Schweinsteiger’s signing back in 2015 when he was also in his 30s. Casemiro is playing the Premier League for the first time and people doubt his adaptation capability. He said,
“He reminds me a bit like Schweinsteiger. When Schweinsteiger was at Bayern and he was a terrific player, he came to Man Utd and his legs weren’t quite the same.”
“And that’s sort of how I see Casemiro coming to United. I don’t think he’s a player that’s going to suddenly hit the ground running, make a huge amount of difference,” concluded Cascarino.

Can Casemiro show his real form at Manchester United?
Casemiro who has proven himself for Real Madrid for the last seven years can never go wrong with a team swap. He is a player build on pure talent and hard work, but it is true that Premier League is a different game with different modes. Spanish La Liga is a more tactically versatile league but Premier League is more about pace and physique.
Manchester United is in much need of a Central Defensive midfielder and they would not get a better player than Casemiro at this point for the role. We can hope to see Casemiro as the vintage Casemiro in Old Trafford and take the Red Devils back to the top four again.
