Liverpool might have lost their dream of winning the quadruple but still has a hope for a treble
Liverpool fans won’t be happy with Manchester City winning the Premier League in a spectacular final matchday. They won their game against the Wolves but couldn’t get their hands on the trophy for the second time as they remained one point behind the title winner, Manchester City.
The Reds needed to win while hoping Manchester City lost, and the unlikely appeared to be occurring when Pep Guardiola’s team fell behind 2-0 against Aston Villa midway through the second half.
Klopp’s side has previously won the League Cup and the FA Cup and will look to add to their trophy cabinet by defeating Real Madrid in the European Champions League final on Saturday in Paris. Liverpool will now focus on the Champions League final which could act as a healer for the Merseyside as they will look to avenge their 2018 final loss to the same opponent from Spain.
