Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka scored against Manchester City to keep the match tied at 1-1. Interestingly, Saka embarrassed Ederson by making him dive the other way, keeping this penalty record intact. Before taking the penalty, Ederson tried to play mind games with Saka and pointed towards his right. He then dived in the opposite direction i.e. towards his left but Saka held back his position and hit the bottom of Ederson’s right-hand side only, earning a real sh*thousery moment.

Saka took the penalty while Jorginho was on the field, given that he is the top penalty-taker with a 90% conversion rate. The young Englishman held his composure and maintained his season-long conversion rate of 100%. Ederson’s hit on Eddie Nketiah may have resulted in a red card. The match has huge stakes because it might be the early title decider for both sides.

Arsenal’s number 7 is having an outstanding season, with 8 goals and 8 assists in 21 appearances. Bukayo Saka mocked Ederson by scoring the goal exactly on the side that the Brazilian pointed. However, after that strikes from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland ensured City’s 3-1 win over the Gunners at the Emirates stadium.

Following the penalty, Twitter erupted with responses as supporters assumed he was attempting to imitate World Cup winner Emiliano Martnez. Here are some ridiculous responses:

Manchester City will strive to outperform Arsenal in order to reduce the deficit. On the other side, the Gunners will strive to win the league as they last won the league 20 years ago. After City’s 3-1 win over Arsenal, they are currently at the top of the 2022-23 Premier League season tied with Arteta’s men. However, the Gunners still have a match in hand.
