Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has made shocking remarks in an interview the football pundit revealed that he does not believe that David Beckham is world-class and doesn’t deserve a place in the Premier League all-time XI. To which social media has been reacting crazy. Especially the ‘Golden Balls’ fans.

The pundit also mentioned a few more points regarding the same topic, saying that he rates Raheem Sterling as better than him as the player has more goals than Beckham, and Phil Foden better as well, as the young star has more creative play-making ability than Beckham ever had.

The pundit though agreed to the fact that the English star was the best crosser he has ever witnessed. This makes him stand at some stage, as Jason Cundy disregards everything that the player has done, and rated him below the young developing stars.

Was David Beckham overrated?

Beckham announced himself on the Premier League stage on the opening weekend of the 1996/97 season, scoring from inside his own half for Manchester United away to Wimbledon

Was Mr. Golden Balls an overrated legend, that’s something debatable, but looking at his career stats with the premier league titles he had to a sum of 6, having important goals and assists is also something that plays an instrumental role in the making of a legend, his England National team career is set as well.

There is a huge difference between an overrated player and a bad player, for example, a player could be a ‘9’ but has been rated a ’10’ by everyone, that’s an overrated player, but remember, 9 is not bad at all. Sometimes players are respected and regarded for some of the reasons that are above or apart football.

A full, all-time XI of Premier League is a rather tedious job, but David Beckham would always make the list of one of the best and classic players ever to have graced the game with their top-notch performances and style of play. Inspiring someone to do something is a more difficult job than scoring goals, which in his case is done considerably well.
