“He will score a lot of goals in Bundesliga”- Julian Nagelsmann hints at a possible Harry Kane move to Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich recently lost their talismanic goalscorer, Robert Lewandowski, to Barcelona despite trying to hold on to the Polish no. 9. However, with Lewandowski gone, the Bavarian giants need someone who can fill the void of scoring over 40 goals a season consistently.
While there are plentiful options in the market, Harry Kane is one player that the German giants have always been linked to. The Englishman is highly appreciated by those in Germany and especially by Bayern boss, Julian Nagelsmann who recently spoke highly of the English international.
Julian Nagelsmann thinks Harry Kane is perfect for Bayern Munich
Speaking about the player, Nagelsmann said, “Kane is very expensive – and that’s the problem. But he’s a brilliant player, one of two or three who can play as a centre-forward.”
“In the last couple of years, he’s been more of a No 10. But Kane is very strong, brilliant with head and both feet. He could score a lot in the Bundesliga. I don’t know the price, but it’s really tough for Bayern Munich – but we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Over the last few years, before Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, it was a young Harry Kane competing with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski in scoring the most goals in Europe, despite playing for an underperforming Tottenham Hotspurs.
In fact, Kane also managed to beat Ronaldo and Messi in becoming the highest-scoring player in a calendar year in 2018. At only 28, Kane already has 247 club goals for Tottenham in 380 games for the Lilywhites.
Under Antonio Conte, the player has seen some serious resurgence and become a deadly no.9. Tottenham also consider Harry Kane untouchable but Bayern Munich could make a move next summer for the striker.
