FC Barcelona has apparently broken the labour law of Spain with the debut of Lamine Yamal in the first team’s match against Real Betis. Lamine Yamal is the youngest player in the club to have made the debut at just the age of 15.

Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo has reportedly stated that the Catalan club has broken the labour law in their last La Liga match. They stated that people under the age of 16 are not allowed to work in Spain. People under 16 who reportedly wanted to appear in a public spectacle need special permission from the government to do so. And by breaking the law, Barcelona has put themselves at risk of facing sanctions.

It is now to be seen if the Spanish government would take any actions against the Catalan club. Barcelona might have another legal battle to fight due to this alleged debut of Yamal as per reports.

FC Barcelona are still reportedly waiting to hear back from La Liga on their latest viability plan. Until they receive more information from La Liga, they are unable to progress with their summer plans.

Director of Football of Barcelona, Mateu Alemany has been seen meeting with La Liga officials in recent weeks. Most recently he was seen at a dinner in Madrid. It is thought that they have been discussing a viability plan for Barcelona over the next two seasons. It would demonstrate that Barcelona are able to accommodate their costs without making losses.

Since that reported meeting in Madrid, the club media channel BarcaTV has been shut down in order to save costs. The news of the shutdown was made public before the club told their employees. None of the employees were aware of their sacking beforehand.

According to sources, Barca are still waiting on a response. They would need the green light from La Liga in order to be able to register new contracts for Gavi, Ronaldo Araujo and Marcos Alonso. Any transfer business will need La Liga approval too.

This situation also concerns any move for Lionel Messi too. The club have not yet made an offer. And they will not do so until they have the “OK ” from La Liga.
