Gregg Berhalter, the coach of the United States, thinks that Thomas Tuchel’s firing at Chelsea may benefit Christian Pulisic.

This season, the USMNT star has played only 155 minutes of Premier League football and made just one start in all competitions. Graham Potter, a former Brighton manager, has taken over for Tuchel in the dugout at Stamford Bridge, signalling yet another upheaval.

Regarding the possibility that Pulisic will play more often under a new manager, Berhalter stated, “I’m not delighted a guy lost his job. Christian has demonstrated his ability to produce at that level, so if this implies that he will have more opportunities, it’s a good thing. All we can do is wait and see.

Although Pulisic started Chelsea’s 2-1 derby triumph over London rivals West Ham in Tuchel’s final Premier League game as manager, he has been inconsistent. In order to help Pulisic improve his form and fitness before the US’s World Cup opener against Wales in Qatar on November 21, Berhalter will hope the 23-year-old can play more frequently for his club.

Graham Potter is getting ready to take charge of his first match as Chelsea’s manager when they host Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday. Chelsea will then return to Champions League action.
