Jamie Carragher and Cristiano Ronaldo

Jamie Carragher, a legendary player for Liverpool, has commented on Cristiano Ronaldo‘s dramatic tell-all interview, which is expected to shake the Manchester United locker room to its core.

The 37-year-old attacker went to Piers Morgan Uncensored, as reported by The Sun, to air all of his grievances with the management of the Red Devils as well as his treatment during his second stint at the club. One of Ronaldo’s most startling comments was his outright admission that he doesn’t respect boss Erik ten Hag.

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” he claimed. “If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

The remarks came less than a month after Ronaldo’s brief suspension from first-team play as a result of his reluctance to enter the game from the bench during the home loss to Tottenham by a score of 2-0. He was not included in the matchday squad for the subsequent away contest at Chelsea.

Ronaldo “wants” to be fired from Manchester United, according to Carragher. During the transfer window, the Portuguese forward was connected with moves to many top European teams, but none of those rumors were confirmed. The former Liverpool defender claims that Ronaldo is currently pressuring Manchester United to let him go.

According to Carragher, “I think it was bang out of order, considering the timing of it, on the back of Manchester United fans at Fulham, watching at home, winning goal last kick of the game, gives a real buzz for them and excitement for the next month.

“They should be enjoying themselves and then the Ronaldo interview comes out and then boom, all the talk is negativity, it’s not about the team, it’s not about the manager, it’s all about Cristiano Ronaldo. It feels like it’s been like that since he’s come back.”
