How did Cristiano Ronaldo meet his partner Georgina Rodriquez? All you need to know about the iconic couple’s first encounter

Cristiano Ronaldo met the love of his life in 2016 at a Gucci store in Spain. The Portuguese footballer fell in love with Georgina Rodríguez, the woman who would later become the mother of his children.
“It was a summer Thursday. I worked at Gucci. I had to leave at 5 and a colleague called me asking me to stay another half hour to attend to a client. When I was leaving the store, a handsome man almost two meters tall appeared accompanied by a boy and a group of friends. Very handsome. The boy greeted me very politely and laughed,” Georgina recalls about her stepson Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
“I started to feel tickles in my stomach. And I thought: what’s wrong with me? I didn’t even look at him, I was very ashamed,” she said on Netflix’s Soy Georgina reality show. Cristiano adds: “It was a moment of a click and it stayed in my head, it’s the absolute truth.”
The footballer insisted on making her fall in love. “He came after work to pick me up. He came in Bugatti sometimes. My colleagues were hallucinated. I arrived by bus and left in Bugatti,” she recalls. “It was the car I had, I couldn’t go with another,” says a laughing Cristiano.
“The beginning of the super nice relationship. Over time I felt that she was the woman of my life,” he adds. The rest is history! The couple have been together for six years now and live in Manchester with their five children.
