Pele scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 games, as per FIFA’s official website, however, this total carries information from a considerable number of unofficial games, such as friendly trips with Santos and the New York Cosmos. Furthermore, according to Guinness World Records, Pele scored 1,289 goals in 1,363 matches.
Pele recorded a large percentage of his goals for Santos, to wherein he devoted most of his life. In 656 competitive outings, he netted 643 goals for Santos. He had 64 goals and 64 assists in 107 matches for the New York Cosmos. According to the Rec Sports Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF), Pele’s official goal count – centered on competitive games alone – was 767 goals in 831 games, while their aggregate (including unofficial games) tally differs from the rest, placing the Brazilian at 1,284 strikes in 1,375 games.
