Sadio Mane has been fined over 300k euros for his recent altercation with teammate Leroy Sane. The Senegalese had punched his teammate after their recent loss against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

The Bayern Munich hierarchy is now viewing the signing of Sadio Mane just a year ago as a mistake. According to Florian Plettenberg, the Bavarian board are looking to sell their player in the upcoming transfer window. Thomas Tuchel sees Mane as the typical profile he would like to work with, but Bayern do not wish to retain his services any further than this summer.

Both Mane and Sane have come out to apologise to their teammates for their actions. The German forward had shown up to training the following day with a visible mark on his face.

Leroy Sane supports Sadio Mane after altercation

Despite being on the receiving side of Mane’s fists, Leroy Sane has come out in support of the Senegalese. The two Bayern forwards seem to have reconciled after their spat.

The German has reportedly asked Bayern Munich to not impose any hefty fines on Mane. He has also requested that the 2019 Champions League winner not be suspended until further notice.

Mane failed to feature in Bayern Munich’s recent draw against Hoffenheim. The reigning champions failed to capitalize on their dominance throughout the match and ended up even at 1-1 at the Allianz Arena. Fans of the Senegalese will be hoping that he would feature against Manchester City in the return leg to help them overturn a three-goal deficit.
