“Hurts being a Tottenham fan”- Fans electrified as Diego Jota’s extra time winner helps Liverpool beat Tottenham 4-3 in PL tie

Tottenham Hotspur saw another defeat after they got thrashed in the last minute by Liverpool 4-3 in a nail-biting fixture on Sunday. The North London team couldn’t end their win drought in the Premier League even after sacking Cristian Stellini a week ago. Although the game ends with a win in Annfield for the home team but was surely not the game for the weak-hearted.

Jurgen Klopp‘s men took a formidable two-goal lead in less than five minutes of the game. In-form Alexander Arnold chips a ball into the box which gets finished by English midfielder Curtis Jones. The Englishman was completely left to roam by North London defense and had no problem giving a lead.

Spurs couldn’t get time to make things better as Luis Diaz pairs with Coady Gakpo to score an electric goal in the fifth minute. Luis Diaz ran past Eric Dier and receives the incoming cross from Coady Gakpo from the left. The player this time made no mistake to convert the lead from close range. It was less than twenty minutes into the game for Harry Kane-led Spurs. Cristian Romero clips Coady Gakpo to the ground to concede a penalty.  Mohammad Salah placed it in the middle to take a three-goal cushion. It was only in the five minutes prior to halftime Harry Kane could get one goal back. The English forward took a brilliant volley giving Allison no chance to save.

The North London club almost closed down the lead when Hueng Min Son converts in the 79th minute of the game. Cristian Romero makes a brilliant long pass from the centre. The Asian wonderboy made no mistake to make a brilliant run and place it back of the net. It was again in the final seconds of injury time the tables turned either way. Tottenham snatched the lead from Liverpool after Richarlison scored in 90’+3. It was just some seconds after Diego Jota capitalised on the mistake of Lucas Moura.
