Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that Luka Modric is going nowhere from Real Madrid as the 36-year-old Croatian’s contract expires after this 2021-22 season. In the pre-match press conference ahead of their clash against Sevilla, Ancelotti spoke about Modric’s future at the club and how crucial he is for the side. As of now, there is no official update about Luka Modric’s contract being extended by the club for upcoming seasons. 

The Italian manager also compared Luka Modric to Paulo Maldini, stating that he won’t have any problem renewing his contract for the Los Blancos.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed, “Luka Modrić will finish his career here at Real Madrid. I don’t know when but it will happen – this is the idea of the club and Luka. Modrić won’t have problems renewing the contract – I compare him to Paolo Maldini.”
