The Brazilian said, “I didn’t have boots to play football. I didn’t have a bedroom, I slept on the sofa.” This clearly shows the struggle one has to face when you’re poor and deprived of luxuries in your life, and something as minimum as a football boot.
Antony further mentioned, “my brother, sister, and I would cry and hug each other thinking about our lives.” The Brazilian had a tough life to deal with but eventually got out of it tougher. Strong as a bull making his way in the Premier League one of the top leagues in World football.

Brazil’s economy has been in question since time immemorial, players like Neymar, Vinicius, Gabriel, and Antony had to go through a very tough phase in their life stricken with hunger and poverty, which eventually led them to the great heights that they enjoy now.
Someone very rightly said that “Deprivation gives birth to creation”, which fits perfectly here as an example, maybe that’s why players with huge potential have faced tough times that have made them tougher people in life to deal with problems and make better use of their talents.
