“I didn’t like the whistles the other day for Gareth Bale, he’s a historic player for Real Madrid; When you whistle a player like that, you’re whistling the history of this club”- Casemiro
Casemiro came out in support of his teammate, Gareth Bale, and said that the Welsh forward is a “part of Real Madrid’s history” and should be respected after he was at the receiving end of crowd whistles after coming on as a substitute for Real Madrid in the 74th minute against Getafe on Saturday.
“When you whistle one player, you whistle all of us. Football is about opinions, everyone has theirs, but I don’t agree when a player on my team is whistled. We’re all on the same side, we have to support him,” said Casemiro.
Casemiro also pointed out that whistling a player itself degrades a team’s performance and brings morale down fans shouldn’t do it and should instead support all the players because they all have one unified goal as a team.
“I didn’t like the whistles the other day for Bale, he’s a historic player for this club. He’s scored a lot of important goals for this club. When you whistle a player like that, you’re whistling the history of this club. I didn’t like it. I think the fans have to support us,” added the Brazilian player.
Bale’s conflict with fans for a major part came after his dig at Real Madrid, putting golf ahead of his Real Madrid responsibilities and his perceived bias toward the Whales national team. He has sourly talked about in the Spanish media in the recent past with Marca and Mundo Deportivo heavily criticizing the Welsh International for his lack of performance and priorities.
Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid
Bale’s stint at Real Madrid will come to an end with an end to his contract this summer and his future remains rather uncertain as a will to continue is not indicated in his playing time at the Los Blancos. This period has witnessed him win 4 champions league trophies, 3 super cups, 3 FIFA club world cups, 2 La Liga titles, and many more.
Casemiro responds to Thomas Tuchel’s claims after the Chelsea boss admits that it’s over for the Blues even before their second-leg encounter against Real Madrid
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was hell-bent that it is over for Chelsea after their 3-1 loss against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge. Interestingly, in the same press conference Casemiro added that neither he nor his team paid heed to the statements as it’s not over until it’s over.
“We can’t trust anything, no matter what Tuchel said, They are the current champions. We need the fans. The key to everything is the badge, winning when nobody believes it. As they say: ‘Until the end, let’s go Real‘,” mentioned Casemiro.
“We do not trust anything, even if we played the best 90 minutes of the season there. It will be hard, we need our people,” concluded the midfielder.
As far as Gareth Bale is considered, one won’t be seeing him in the starting 11 but he can be at the bench again and may get an opportunity late in the game.
