The biggest and the final match of the footballing season 2021/22 is upon us, with Liverpool FC taking on Spanish giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final. The highly awaited fixture between two European heavyweights will mark a perfect end to what has been an enthralling season.

Ahead of the marquee fixture, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be buoyed with an additional supporter in the form of the popular Netflix show Stranger Things’ protagonist, Millie Bobby Brown. Eleven, as she is popularly known on the show revealed that she is a die-hard Liverpool fan, and will be cheering on the Reds cometh the big fixture in Paris.

In an exclusive interview with the club’s official social media account, Bobby Brown said, “When I was younger, my dad got me a whole Liverpool kit… I didn’t really have a choice! Now I watch them and I love Liverpool. When I was growing up it was Liverpool all around the house. There were just like Steven Gerrard posters all over our housing growing up.”

As she revealed, it was her father who initially brought on the fandom on her, and since then she has continued to support on the Reds. In the video she also spoke of how she manages to watch the Reds in action, even when she’s in America.

“When I’m in America, it is like 4 am, and we’re watching the game. When we’re here(England), it’s obviously whenever the games are on. We get people over – it’s an event for us.”

Liverpool are vying for their 7th Champions League title, and will become the third highest in terms of trophies won in Europe if they manage a win in Paris, repeating their success of 1981 against similar opponents.
