Son Heung-min, according to Antonio Conte, would make the ideal husband for his daughter. Son shared the best goal scorer honours in the Premier League last season, though, as Dejan Kulusevski has noted, the Swede almost managed to ruin it for Son.
Son would have hoped to have an even bigger influence as the team set their sights on bigger ambitions than merely finishing fourth after a summer of Conte’s tough preseason and more squad additions. The South Korean hasn’t yet found his rhythm, despite Spurs’ strong start to the season, which has resulted in 10 points out of a possible 12.
However, Conte isn’t very concerned about the forward and has backed him to start scoring again. He has also backed his character, giving him a ringing endorsement as the type of man he’d like his daughter to marry.
“Sonny is a really sensible player. He’s really sensible and a top man, a really good guy,” the Italian said following Spurs 2-0 win over Forest on Sunday.
“If I am to give an example, I have to find a husband for my daughter I’d like to be a person like him!
“In this moment maybe he’s suffering a lot that he’s not scoring. But he has to continue in this way and trust himself because in every game he has the opportunity, the chance to score and then he has to be calm. We trust him and the team-mates.
“You know very well the importance of this player with Harry Kane and for sure he’s a bit disappointed that he’s not scoring but no problem. For me, Sonny will always be a nut in my team, in my ambition of football.” said Conte to sources.

Despite playing all but 31 minutes of the league season so far, Son has scored zero goals and provided just one assist following the victory over Nottingham Forest.
