Katia Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, recently sent a mysterious Instagram message about her brother’s situation at Manchester United.

Ronaldo has made it clear that he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer and has chosen to skip the club’s preseason tour of Asia for “family reasons.” Only last year, after an emotional £20 million transfer from Juventus, did the 37-year-old return to United.

It’s interesting to note that although Ronaldo participated in promotional material for the Red Devils’ new home jersey, the video of him with club icons David Beckham and Eric Cantona has not been made public. Adidas is thought to be delaying it until it is known how the player will proceed with the club.

Is Cristiano Ronaldo set to leave Manchester United?

 The Portuguese striker had a strong debut season back at Old Trafford following a 12-year absence, scoring 24 goals across all competitions. Despite being in second place the previous season, United had a disastrous season and finished sixth in the Premier League.

Ronaldo expressed his “upset” at having his compensation lowered at United after each player’s weekly salary was reduced by 25% as a direct result of the team’s failure to make the Champions League.

While he and Chelsea director Behdad Eghbali are closely monitoring the situation, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is reportedly considering making an unusual offer to capture Ronaldo. However, Blues manager Thomas Tuchel is rumored to be against the notion.

An Instagram user recently posed the question to Ronaldo’s sister, “Cristiano will stay [in] Manchester?” The Manchester Evening News reported Katia Aveiro’s response as follows: “I propose some spectacles… a span of brain or else learn to read haaa and concept.” The user should read the room since the scenario should be plain, despite the fact that her reaction is unclear.
