“I think it’s difficult”- Napoli manager rules put the possibility of a Cristiano Ronaldo-Oshimen swap deal

The manager of Napoli club Luciano Spaletti wiped out all rumors regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s exchange for their player Victor Osimhen. The rumor included the deal of €100 million and Cristiano Ronaldo’s loan in exchange for Osimhen. But now the management itself has come out and given the clarification.
Spaletti said, “I’d love to work with Cristiano Ronaldo, ofc – but there are no talks. De Laurentiis [Napoli president] told me that he has not received anything. I think it’s difficult [CR-Osimhen swap deal] but you should ask our director Giuntoli”.
Spaletti has been the manager of Napoli since 2021. His words made very clear the respect they have for Ronaldo as a player and he would like to have Ronaldo on their team as well. But it was clear that no such deal had happened. Under Spaletti’s tenure, Napoli finished third last season behind Inter and AC Milan.
He has vast experience in coaching Italian teams like Empoli, Sampdoria, Venezia, Udinese, Roma, and Inter Milan before joining Napoli. The Nigerian Victor Osimhen has been clinical since joining Napoli in 2020. The deal did not happen and Ronaldo is expected to continue with Manchester United this season.

Does Napoli need Cristiano Ronaldo?
Napoli is a very well-reputed and popular team in the Italian League. They have amazing bench strength and players to lead the game plan. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo would have been a fantastic striker for the team but seeing the present scenario of Ronaldo being out of form does not sound pleasing.
Victor Osimhen is a 23-year-old young player who has chances to prolifer and improve his game. Taking him to be a striker in perfect and active form, Osimhen fits better into the Napoli scene. At the same time, it would have been a good experience for Osimhen in Manchester United as well.
