In a recent interview, Sadio Mane claimed that Liverpool has the capability and the team to go for the ‘quadruple’ this season. He further stated that Liverpool has all the potential to win all four titles after securing the man of the match against arch-rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
“I think we have the team to do it. I think it would be early to talk about winning four trophies, but for sure I think we have to fight for it because we have the team to fight for it and we will do everything possible to go for it,” said Mane.
Sadio mane believes that it is not over yet, as Liverpool has to be very consistent and impressive to win every game from here on. Mane even remarked that they have many potential players who could win them the League and give positive results in the upcoming matches.
“We knew it would be a very tough game because Man City, if I don’t say the best team in the world then for sure they are one of the best and we have to respect them,” he added.
Liverpool set to square off against Chelsea in the finals of FA Cup 2021-22
Liverpool will encounter Chelsea in the finals of the FA Cup 2021-22. The Blues recently battled past Crystal Palace to secure their place in the finals of the tournament for the third consecutive time.
As far as the Premier League is concerned, the Reds will next lock horns against Manchester United at Anfield on Tuesday before taking on Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Champions League 2021-22 next week. They currently sit at the second position in the points table of the Premier League, one point behind Manchester City.
