“I want to play Real Madrid”- Mohamed Salah after Liverpool reaches their tenth Champions League final

Mohamed Salah has a score to settle against Real Madrid after their 3-1 defeat in the 2017-18 Champions League Final. When the Egyptian was asked who he would rather face in the Champions League final moments after Liverpool’s marked their Champions League Semi-Final victory, Salah gave an honest answer saying, “I want to play Real Madrid in the Champions League final. I have to be honest. If you’re asking me personally, I want to play Madrid.”

Liverpool infamously played Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League Final. Liverpool ultimately lost 3-1 after Mohamed Sala got injured by a tack;e from Sergio Ramos in the 22nd minute and a series of huge blunders from Loris Karius. It seems that Mohamed Salah has not forgotten about that night in Kyiv and is ready to take his revenge.

Salah’s injury was controversial, to say the least. While running with the ball, he was grabbed from his arms by then Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and shoved to the ground which resulted in Salah’s shoulder getting dislocated and thereafter getting substituted and Liverpool lost their talisman for the showcase event.
