“I would kidnap him to make him stay”- FC Barcelona’s Ferran Torres on Ousmane Dembele
After a change of thoughts, it looks as if Ousmane Dembele is willing to continue at FC Barcelona but his extension at the Catalan club will depend on the Frenchman’s salary negotiations.
Talking around it, FC Barcelona’s Ferran Torres showed his affirmation of the Ousmane Dembele extension and joked that he would kidnap the winger in order to make him stay. Ferran also remarked that the Frenchman has become a key provider for the club.
“I would kidnap him to make him stay. But there are things that are none of our business. It’s his decision. Whatever he decides, I wish him all the best,” said the Spaniard.
The winger has scored one goal and provided eight assists in the last six La Liga games proving to be decisive with his passes, also being intuitive with his dribbles at the same time.
Xavi Hernandez also wants Ousmane Dembele to stay at FC Barcelona
After Xavi took over Ronald Koeman as manager of FC Barcelona, he has put new life in the Barcelona players where FC Barcelona climbed from a mid-table position to second place behind Real Madrid. Moreover, he gave the chance to beatdown players like Dembele, who has actually risen like a phoenix in the last few matches under him.
Xavi’s work doesn’t stop there as he has got a plan in place to bring back the Elite barça and Ousmane Dembele is a part of the project. The manager earlier said that he also “wants Dembele to stay.”
“The club is working on it, Ousmane is a very important player for our strategy. I hope he will stay here. He’s a very important player for Barça, like Gavi and Araújo – I hope they can stay here, we’ll be stronger,” mentioned Xavi.
The next big challenge in front of Barcelona stands in the form of a quarterfinal league tie of the Europa League against German opponents, Eintracht Frankfurt, whom they will face at Deutsche Bank Park.
