Jude Bellingham is Real Madrid‘s man of the moment while making headlines for his late goals and “clutch” moments both in La Liga and the Champions League. The 20-year-old Englishman has scored 6 goals for the Los Blancos in 6 appearances in all competitions. However, the player has also come under criticism and become the target of trolls.
The reason for the same points to claims that Bellingham only scores “tap-ins” and is a “tap-in merchant”. However, former footballer and English Football Pundit Ian Wright came to the defense of his countryman. He said that the people who make such claims “do not understand” football and that to create space and get ahead of defenders in the box was surely a difficult task.
He defended Bellingham, saying, “To go 20 yards in elite football & find space in the box, top defenders trying to stop you is not an easy task.” He also added, “Yet he’s putting pressure, scoring with unbelievable movement on a regular basis.” Bellingham recently scored a 90+4′ winner against Union Berlin in the UCL, with his goal coming off of a deflected shot from Fede Valverde, before falling into Bellingham’s way, who was open in front of goal.
