In a funny exchange between himself and Kevin De Bruyne on Instagram, Erling Haaland said that he dreams about the Belgian player “every night.”

At the weekend’s 0-2 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium by the Premier League champions, Manchester City‘s freshly formed partnership made their on-field debut.

The Belgian master’s exquisite 30-yard ball set up Haaland for the goal, and the Norwegian international scored in a manner reminiscent of other Borussia Dortmund goals. The City duo scored their first goal and provided their first assist of the new season, making them every Fantasy Premier League manager’s fantasy team.

“About to order the whole menu.”, the 22-year-old joked in the post.

The jokes from his Manchester City colleague Kevin De Bruyne about the assists he is already starting to give Haaland on the field made things much better in the comments section.

“You want me to hold the menu and assist you?”, De Bruyne said. The conversation then became rather personal as Haaland said, “Yes I’m dreaming of it every night. Don’t know why.”

Manchester City supporters will be hopeful that the weekend marked the beginning of a unique relationship between the two. This is likely to be the case, as suggested by their connection off the field.

This Saturday, when the Premier League champions travel back to the North-West for the first time this season, Erling Haaland will make his Etihad Stadium debut.

The opposition, newly promoted AFC Bournemouth, is well aware of the threats offered by the aforementioned pair and the remainder of Pep Guardiola’s all-star team.
