“I’m missing one, I will get that one in the final”- Real Madrid’s Rodrygo reveals a bet he made with his father right before the match against Manchester City

Real Madrid has several star performers in the UCL semifinal second leg clash against Manchester City but Rodrygo surpassed every other player with his two goals to send Real Madrid to the final.

According to an interview, the 21-year-old Brazilian had promised his father that he would get a hat-trick in the match and take them to the UCL final. He did get two goals in the 90th and 91st minute to level the score and take it to extra-time. Although he lost the bet to his father, he ensured him that he would score the remaining goal in the final against Liverpool to redeem himself.

“I made a bet with my father that I would score three goals and, well, I only scored two. I’m missing one, I will get that one in the final”, said Rodrygo before the semifinal clash against Manchester City.

Real Madrid was on the verge of getting eliminated by Pep’s side after they took a two-goal advantage over both the ties and led 5-3 on aggregate. Rodrygo came off the bench as a substitute for Kroos in the 68th minute and left his mark in the game by scoring two late goals to settle the score to a draw after 90 minutes. Rodrygo, Vinicius, and Benzema trio has been the most effective for the ‘Men in Whites’ this season.
