“I’m not his father, I’m his manager”- Real Madrid boss explains his stand on the Vinicius’ goal celebration fiasco
Carlo Ancelotti and Vinicius
After Vinicius recently came under media scrutiny, Real Madrid‘s coach Carlo Ancelotti claimed he was unable to comprehend the extra attention the forward is receiving from the media. For getting into a fight with Real Mallorca players during Madrid’s 4-1 victory last week, the Brazilian received a lot of flak. The focus then turned to his goal celebration, which many saw as offensive to his opponents.
Ancelotti continued by saying that the forward doesn’t need his advice at the moment. “I don’t know what is happening with Vinicius, for me it’s nothing, he is playing football with quality, joy and happiness,” Carlo Ancelotti told reporters.
“I don’t need to give him any advice, I’m not his father or his brother, I’m his coach,” said Ancelotti.

Vinicius gives a strong reply to all the criticism
Vinicius afterwards made a post on Instagram in which he declared that he would continue to perform his dance as a way to honour the cultural variety of the world.
Vinicius captioned: “My dances celebrate the cultural diversity of the world. Accept it, respect it, I’m not going to stop,”
Ancelotti was flooded with questions on the Brazilian attacker before to Sunday’s LaLiga game away to Atletico Madrid, according to Reuters. The Real Madrid manager continued by saying that Vinicius is currently playing with quality, joy, and enjoyment, therefore he doesn’t understand why there is currently so much attention on him.
Atletico Madrid enters the game fresh off a Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, but Diego Simeone has claimed that form is irrelevant in a derby.
“Everything can be going well until the referee starts the game and then it’s a brand new film and we don’t know how it ends. That’s why this sport is so much fun,” Simeone stated.
