In Pictures: Manchester United fans start leaving Etihad after Manchester City net 4 at halftime

Well, that first half of the football game was mental. Erling Haaland and Phil Foden both scored a brace as Manchester City completely dismantled Manchester United in just 45 minutes at the Etihad Stadium.

Seven minutes after an incredible recovery in the third minute, United were unable to make a similar escape. Phil Foden of Manchester City completed an exquisite sweeping move by brushing the ball into David de Gea’s net. It took longer than expected, but the home side grabbed a second in the 33rd minute with Erling Haaland heading from a corner kick.
He scored again three minutes later. Haaland slid in at the back post to tip a rather exceptional Kevin De Bruyne cross into the back of the net. Just before half-time, it was four that came from an exquisite break led by De Bruyne which culminated in Haaland drilled the ball across goal to Foden, who made no mistake with his finish.
