The Athletic Bilbao player and star forward Inaki Williams has thrown the odds away of him being injured and missing a match, as he appears perfectly fit and fine in the match against Espanyol after getting forced off the field in his 236th appearance for the club following an ankle injury that looked scary.

The 28-year-old forward was expected to miss his first game in six big years against Espanyol on Sunday afternoon. The San Mames side released a statement at full time. “Athletic Club striker Inaki Williams has sprained a ligament in his right ankle. He will undergo further evaluations and his progress will be monitored over the coming days.”

The Bilbao-born forward was predicted to miss his first match after April 10, 2016, but not even an ankle injury could stop the ‘Iron Lion’ from pinning another appearance on his record.
