Inter Miami clinched the Leagues Cup trophy in spectacular fashion, defeating Nashville SC in the final on penalties. Following the triumph, Miami players lifted club captain Leo Messi off the ground in a special tribute to the player during post-match celebrations. The players’ excitement was evident after an exhilarating victory in the final. Inter-Miami overcame Nashville on penalties, winning 10-9. 

During the victory celebrations, Miami players came together and lifted Lionel Messi off the ground and threw him in the air as a special tribute to the club captain. Netizens have been quick to notice Messi’s happiness with the new club, with people saying Messi is more happy than he ever was at PSG. Lionel Messi was crowned Player of the Tournament as well as top scorer following his 10 goals in the competition.

Lionel Messi found the net in the 23rd minute after a spectacular dribble at the edge of the box before finding the top corner. He also found the net in the penalty shootout. The Argentine is now the third outright top scorer for Miami after playing just 7 games for the club.

Lionel Messi won his 44th trophy as Inter Miami won the Leagues Cup against Nashville on Sunday. The Argentine was tied with Dani Alves at 43 trophies before the final. This Triumph makes Lionel Messi the player with the highest number of team trophies in World Football. Messi won five trophies with Argentina, 35 trophies with Barcelona, three with PSG, and one with Inter Miami.

After the player’s recent fallout with PSG and transfer to Miami, leaving Europe seemed like the wrong decision. However, the Argentine has found himself a home in Miami, with his outrageous goalscoring form, lively celebrations, and overall cheerfulness playing for the club. After the Triumph against Nashville, fans can be assured that there is more to come.
