Andres Iniesta reportedly agreed to a verbal contract with Inter Miami CF on Thursday. The club is set to unite the Spanish midfielder with his Barcelona teammates- Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. Jordi Alba might also be a part of the team and will link up with all these players as Miami is expected to announce his arrival shortly. Iniesta could become the fourth former Barcelona player to join Miami this summer.
The World Cup winner recently ended his Japanese spell earlier this year. Iniesta said farewell to Vissel Kobe in Japan after spending 5 years at the club. Iniesta however did wish to continue his career after leaving Japan. He has been linked to Inter Miami ever since.
And now rumors suggest that a deal in principle for him has been agreed. Inter Miami will reunite these Barcelona legends as they already have unveiled Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. The South Beach team reportedly is also gunning for the signature of Luis Suarez.
However, the Miami outfit has not agreed on a fee with Suarez’s current club, Germio. Additionally, Miami will have to manage their contracts wisely to keep all 5 players. MLS only allows 3 marquee spots in a team and Miami has all 3 filled at the moment. Miami must handle this problem before sealing the deal with these players.

Inter Miami manager Martino confirms Lionel Messi’s debut match
Inter Miami manager has confirmed the date when Lionel Messi will debut as a Miami player. Manager Tata Martino said Messi and Sergio Busquets, both are ready for game action. This confirms that the players will be seen in Miami’s next match.
They play Cruz Azul on the 21st of July in the Leagues Cup. Both Messi and Busquets will join the action. However, it is likely both will not start the game but come on as substitutes. The manager has not given clarity on that yet.
“Whether that will be as starters or coming in at the half, we will have to make that decision yet, but as I see it, Leo as well as Busi can play.” Were Martino’s words. However, Miami fans are delighted as two legends of the game will shortly feature in their colors. The players will aim to revive the club’s season and aim to help Inter Miami win some silverware.
