PSG has started the Ligue 1 season unblemished thanks to Lionel Messi’s three goals and five assists, but the French champs must launch a genuine bid for the Champions League crown.

This season, Lionel Messi has recovered his former glory. The Argentine has adapted to French football and is much better on his legs and at a far higher level than last season, when he struggled a bit in his first season at PSG. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s three goals and five assists in Ligue 1 thus far serve as evidence of this.

It looks like he’s back to his best and Leo has that winning mentality he needs in any team that aspires to achieve everything.”

Lionel Messi’s first season at PSG was not up to his ‘High standards’

Lionel Messi received harsh criticism from PSG supporters in his first year at the club following a free transfer from FC Barcelona. The trio has so far demonstrated their firepower, but the 35-year-old has had a strong start to the season alongside Neymar and Mbappé.

The entirety of Europe will be closely observing Lionel Messi and his PSG teammates as they open their Champions League campaign at home against Juventus on Tuesday night.
