Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison is known for his cheeky comments and lively celebrations on the pitch. The Englishman has been a central part of Ange Postecoglou‘s midfielder ever since the manager took charge of Tottenham. Even though Maddison is currently nursing an ankle injury, he made sure that he stood up for his team during the finals of the World Darts Championship.

Maddison was spotted at the event, donning a pearl white necklace and a grey coat. Even though the midfielder was singled out in a chant made a certain faction of the audience, his reply did justice to both the player and his team. The excited crowd chanted ‘Tottenham get battered, everywhere they go’. Maddison quickly reacted with a sign, reading “North London is WHITE”. Even though the midfielder is enjoying only his first season with Tottenham, his antics and passion for the team have quickly made him a fan favorite.

James Maddison’s ‘pose’ with Luke Littler turns sour as latter loses Darts Championship final

It is no secret that Tottenham midfielder James Maddison is a darts fanatic. The 27-year-old has been spotted on several occasions attending Darts Championship matches throughout the season. With his most recent appearance at the Championship final, fans have taken it as a way to ‘troll’ the Englishman. A picture of Maddison and Luke Littler was labeled as the reason for the latter’s failure in the competition.

The two posed for pictures, as they recreated Maddison’s trademark celebration of throwing a dart. The same was posted by the official Twitter account of Tottenham. Many fans believe that Maddison somehow transferred the ‘bad luck’ and ‘bottling’ nature of his team to Luke Littler. The 16-year-old darts sensation, however, fell short to Luke Humphries in the final as the score read 7-4 in favor of the latter.

However, Tottenham fans did not let their rivals go away with the argument. An earlier picture featuring Luke Littler alongside Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale was dug up by a Tottenham supporter. Even though Luke Littler had an amazing run to the final, the 16-year-old fell to the tournament favorite, Humphries. The latter bagged the prize money of £500,000 as he lifted his 4th consecutive competition hosted by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
