Jamie Vardy has now become the first player to reach 100 Premier League goals after turning 30. It seems like it’s taken a very long time. However, the Foxes veteran was spotted downing a can of Red Bull before unleashing his remarkable feat against the Wolves, suggesting that he may have had a little help.
Vardy came off the bench in the 61st minute of Sunday’s match between Leicester and Wolverhampton, where the Foxes won the Premier League title. However, the 35-year-old was observed downing a can of Red Bull on the substitutes bench after stripping off before entering the fray.
Six minutes after replacing Patson Daka, the Foxes star finished his drink and entered the game, setting up James Maddison to make it 3-0 for his team. When Vardy scored his team’s fourth goal of the game as the match neared its closing ten minutes, the Red Bull once more came into play.
The seasoned pro scored his first goal of the season and his first since the last day of the previous campaign against Southampton after meeting Timothy Castagne’s low cross.

After a sluggish start to the season, the Foxes are starting to click, defeating Wolves 4-0 to make it three victories in their previous five games. Patson Daka was chosen for the starting lineup rather than Vardy, but the experienced striker made headlines after coming off the bench.
Vardy was substituted in with Leicester leading by two goals, and prior to onto the field, he was observed consuming a can of Red Bull. He was certainly fueled by the energy drink because he assisted James Maddison on Brendan Rodgers’ team’s third goal inside minutes. Then Vardy made it four, and his celebration mocked Wolves supporters.
He turned to see the packed stands of home fans yelling at them. After celebrating, the 35-year-old indicated that there was a foul stench by waving his hand in front of his nose. Vardy has performed other celebrations to enrage rival supporters before. Earlier this year, he howled at Wolves and flailed his arms like an eagle at Crystal Palace.
He frequently cupped his ears and pointed his finger at goalkeepers while glancing at the supporters of the other club. After scoring the game-winning goal against Sheffield United, he also made headlines for breaking a corner flag. The victory against Wolves gives Leicester more self-confidence and relieves additional pressure on Rodgers.
