The two football stars, Jamie Vardy and Leicester City, were relegated to the Championship following an 18th-place finish in the 2022/23 season. The Leicester #9 has never been a silent character on the pitch. Vardy’s celebration against Bristol City warrants no explanation for his lively character and antics on the pitch. The incident occurred during yesterday’s match when an invigorated Jamie Vardy scored a penalty against the away side.
After Wilfred Ndidi was fouled inside the box in the second half, up stepped Jamie Vardy to take the spot-kick. The former Premier League Golden Boot winner gave Bristol City keeper Max O’Leary no chance. His spectacular penalty went straight into the top right corner, making it 1-0 for Leicester. A hilarious moment ensued after Jamie Vardy pulled out a textbook celebration.
The 36-year-old ran the entire length of the pitch, all the way to the away fans before cupping his right ear to the crowd who were chanting “Jamie Vardy, your wife is a grass” to rile up the opposition striker. He was also seen mimicking a warrior pulling out a sword from its sheath in front of the opposition fans. Vardy went viral when he slid onto the corner flag and broke it during a goal celebration against Sheffield United.

Leicester City dominated the match against Bristol City
Leicester City hosted Bristol City in the Championship on Saturday. The home side displayed a dominant performance to see off the Robins. In a game that was mostly one-sided, Leicester triumphed through a solitary Jamie Vardy goal. In a game that saw the Foxes rise to the top of the championship, it was #9 Jamie Vardy who found the goal.
After standing firm in the first half against a determined Leicester side, Vardy broke the deadlock in the 67th minute after Wilfred Ndidi was fouled inside the box by Kal Naismith. Vardy’s deadly strike gave Max O’Leary no chance, as he scored his second goal in eight appearances in the championship.
Leicester also came close through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, whose header was cleared off the line in the first half. It was a dominant display by the hosts, and the 19 shots against the five (of which none were on target) of Bristol City are a testament to the same. Vardy’s goal celebration also caught attention after he ran the entire length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the away fans.
