Dani Alves’ wife Joana Sanz seems to have changed her mind about the circumstances surrounding the Brazilian icon. The model confirmed in a video on Wednesday that she would still support Alves. She also urged the media to refrain from discussing their lives.
A lady reportedly was sexually assaulted by Dani Alves. According to reports, the event happened in December 2022. The Brazilian is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a lady in a nightclub without getting her permission. Since then, he has been detained in a jail in Spain.
Now commenting on his situation, Sanz said, “I will be by his side, a relationship is one thing, but he is my family. They have been together for eight years, therefore, I will be by his side. Like it or not. Stop talking about the lives of others.”
Sanz also clarified herself and said she wanted to get away from the attention, not the person. “I have not said that I want to get away from him. I have only said that I do not care what the media say. I want to get away from this, not from him,” she further added. This, thus, comes up as a twist as Sanz earlier had said she did not care about anything Alves did.

A look at Dani Alves’ ongoing trial in a s***al assault case
Brazilian right defender Dani Alves, who is accused of sexual assault, has some clarity on his future now that he has been given an approximate timeline for his trial. Alves has been attempting to obtain bail ever since being taken into jail, but the presiding judge has twice determined that he poses a flight risk. He has so stayed behind bars in Barcelona.
The trial date has reportedly been scheduled for October or November of this year, according to El Periodico. He turned himself into the police in January, so it seems he will be behind bars for at least ten months until the issue is settled.
In addition, the accusations against him carry a potential term of four to twelve years. If he is proven guilty, that is. Alves has so far maintained his innocence throughout the entire process, and he believes that will be established as time goes on.
