Veteran English midfielder Jordan Henderson set a new record at Ajax with his no. 6 shirt becoming the fastest-selling in the club’s history, overtaking previous record holders, Daley Blind and Dusan Tadic. Henderson joined the Dutch club after terminating his contract with Al-Ettifaq.

The former Liverpool star signed for the Eredivisie side, Ajax, on an 18-month deal after waiving £4 million in wages from Saudi Pl side, Al-Ettifaq. He had joined the Saudi team during the summer transfer window as part of a trend of players moving to the Middle East.
