Jose Mourinho’s side AS Roma, took on Monza in Serie A on Monday. In a frustrating encounter, Roma was unable to find the net for the greater part of 90 minutes. Moreover, Stephan El Shaarawy‘s last-minute goal brought on pandemonium at the Stadio Olimpico. As the crowd erupted in celebrations, Mourinho was seen ‘mocking’ the Monza bench after his team went in front in the dying minutes.

Jose Mourinho is no stranger to taunts and antics. The two-time Champions League winner is not one to shy away from a confrontation and is well known for his animated reactions. Moreover, the manager has seen multiple red cards throughout his career for his actions on the touchline. The manager recently saw red for a classic ‘Mourinho moment’.

In a video that has then gone viral, fans get to see Jos Mourinho’s antics. He then proceeded to make ‘crying’ gestures aimed at the opposition bench. His actions screamed ‘cry more’. Moreover, he gestured that the away side was ‘yapping’ too much.

Subsequently, the referee dealt a straight red for the manager for his actions. Unsurprisingly, Jose Mourinho took it in his stride and paced down the tunnel.

Roma secure last gasp win against Monza

AS Roma got the job done thanks to Stephan El Shaarawy‘s late winner. The hosts had a tough time breaking down the Monza defense. However, the side managed by José Mourinho had the breakthrough after playing over 89 minutes. Roma began the game on the front foot, with multiple shots on target early on. Monza keeper Di Gregorio had a busy night, making multiple saves.

The Monza #16 kept out a powerful from Houssem Aouar early on. D’Amrosio’s red card mounted the pressure on the visitors. However, Di Gregorio kept out Roma for the larger part of the match. Romelu Lukaku scuffed his shot wide before Sardar Azmoun hit the post.

However, it was Stephan El Shaarawy whose shot finally beat the Monza keeper. The player was quick to react to a loose ball inside the box, and then quickly dispatch a powerful volley through a sea of defenders, to find the net. El Shaarawy’s goal meant Roma won their 4th consecutive game.

The 3 points helped Roma rise to 7th, with 14 points in 9 games. Mourinho was seen celebrating on his knees. His celebrations earned him a straight red card as well.
