AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho is no stranger to touchline clashes. The Portuguese manager has had a brilliant history of clashing with opposition players but also shows respect to his rivals. Sunday’s clash featuring Roma vs Napoli went along similar lines as the Roma boss shared a heated moment with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the touchline. Both Victor Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia were spotted arguing with the manager.

Defending champions Napoli were thoroughly beaten by Roma at the Stadio Olimpico Tour. Goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Romelu Lukaku ensured that the home side leapfrogged Napoli to sit at 6th spot for Christmas. However, red cards for Victor Osimhen and Matteo Politano meant that the visitors ended the game with 9 men on the pitch. Tensions boiled over as Mourinho and Kvaratskhelia had a heated row.

Both sides were on the back of embarrassing defeats, as was evident in the aggressive starts to their game. Moreover, Jose Mourinho and Walter Mazzarri picked up cards for their actions from the touchline. The first yellow of the game came in the 28th minute, which was followed by a near-constant flow of cards. Leandro Paredes, Andrea Belotti, and Stephan El Shaarawy were some of the few who saw yellow.

The first red of the game came to Matteo Politano, who, in a moment of frustration, flung his leg at Nicola Zalewski. Victor Osimhen, who was already on a yellow card, was also sent off after picking up a second yellow. The Nigerian was sent off for tackling El Shaarawy from behind. In a game of high tempers, 19-year-old Niccolo Pisilli offered some much-needed respite. The youngster was seen in tears after scoring his first goal for the club.
