Why Liverpool pulled out of race to sign Jude Bellingham
Reports of Liverpool pulling out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham have emerged. The Reds considered the midfielder to be their top priority signing for the summer. However, it does not seem to be the case anymore.
The Liverpool hierarchy believe they cannot afford the humongous price tag Borussia Dortmund have kept on the 19 year old. They are also unsure whether Bellingham will leave the German club in the summer.
Moreover, they think other top clubs are in a more comfortable position to sign the midfielder as hopes for European football next season keeps diminishing for them with each passing game. Liverpool currently sit eighth on the Premier League table, 12 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, the last Champions League spot available.
