Jude Bellingham has been on fire ever since he signed for the Los Blancos. The Englishman has 5 goals and an assist from 4 La Liga matches this season. The 20-year-old is signed for €103m from Borussia Dortmund and has been worth every single penny, making his performances speak for themselves. The youngster took center stage yesterday too when he scored a late winner in the 90+5′ minute against Getafe. The home side won 2-1 and Santiago Bernabeu was full of praise for their star man.
Following the game, Bellingham said that he was in awe of the Bernabeu, seeing the crowd chant his name and sing, “Hey Jude”– The Beatles’ song. The player said, “When they were singing “Hey Jude” at the end, I got goosebumps.” The boy from Brum has hit the ground running in the capital of Spain! Bellingham has become an instant favorite of Real Madrid fans. This is just the start, his early days already suggest that there is a lot to come.
Real Madrid went behind after just 11 minutes when Borja Mayoral rounded Kepa and slotted home. Joselu scored from a rebound right at the start of the second half to bring parity. As the home side struggled to find the lead Bellingham found himself presented with a golden opportunity when David Soria failed to gather an out-of-the-box shot from Lucas Vasquez. Bellingham made no fuss as he found the net from point black to give the home side the lead in the dying moments.
The club even released Bellingham’s comments on how he felt following his late winner at the Bernabeu. He said, “I just wanted to turn and stand still and listen to it while my legs were shaking.” Videos of the same have gone viral on social media.

McManaman commented that having their future trajectory mapped out in front of them seems strange, referring to Erling Haaland‘s future ‘destined’ to be at Real. He also asked if any other club could afford him given his massive contract and salary. Further, Erling’s agent said that the players have a sense of understanding that their future lies in their own hands.
