Union Berlin footballer Leonardo Bonucci has taken a stern step against his former club. He alleges that the club did not provide him with ideal training facilities. They even isolated his development in the last phase of his career, tarnishing his professional image. The Juventus management excluded Bonucci, a loyal club servant for several years. While he had a year left on his contract, they forced him to train separately.

Furthermore, his claims took a serious turn as the club denied him access to essential training facilities, such as the gym or the swimming pool. They even went further to restrict his access to the training staff. Having captained and led the Italian club to success over several years, it’s no wonder that Bonucci felt massively disrespected.

However, Bonucci also claims that his legal suit against the club’s board and management is not due to a personal vendetta. Any funds won by Bonucci through the lawsuit will be donated to charity, as per his lawyers. His case should be an example for modern footballers who struggle in similar situations when jeopardized by their football clubs.

The proceeds will benefit Neuroland, an organization supporting families with children undergoing treatment in Turin’s Pediatric Neurosurgery Department. It will also go to Live Onlus, which provides defibrillators to sports clubs, schools, and communities. With the legal battle, Bonucci’s love story with Juventus comes to a bitter end, where he was once hailed as one of the best defenders of all time.

Exor denies claims of Juventus being up for sale amidst rumors

Exor, the holding company that owns Juventus, has swiftly denied recent reports suggesting that the Serie A club is up for sale. In response to a report published in Il Giornale, Exor’s spokesperson described the claims as “groundless.” The report had suggested that Exor was considering selling Juventus for a minimum of 1.5 billion euros ($1.61 billion) after addressing the club’s financial issues. It is controlled by the Agnelli family and headquartered in the Netherlands.

This report portrayed Juventus as a club facing significant challenges, including legal troubles and financial losses. Nevertheless, EXOR, in an official statement, refuted these claims, asserting, “The hypotheses put forward by a newspaper regarding the sale of Juventus are devoid of any foundation.” The statement reaffirmed Exor’s commitment to the club.

The Agnelli family has maintained a majority stake in Juventus since 1923, with several family members overseeing the club’s operations. If the recent report were accurate, it would mark a substantial departure from the family’s long-standing association with the club. Exor has emphasized that there are no plans to put Juventus up for sale, dispelling the speculation surrounding the club’s future ownership.
