Juventus’ financial scandal to be investigated by UEFA, could lead to their suspension from Champions League
Juventus currently restored their 15 points which were reduced from their 2022-23 Serie A tally after the financial scandal.
Juventus would probably be removed from all European competitions by UEFA. The Serie A team may not be allowed to take part in the European competitions in the upcoming season. It is due to their alleged financial fraud that happened during the transfer market.
It is reported that the UEFA hierarchy is handed the reports of the public prosecutors. Official news reporter Gezzetta Dello Sport from Italy reports that the governing body is taking its own measures to conduct its own investigation into the Juventus financial scandal.
UEFA has been strict with financial fair play throughout. It is not new to us how the board imposed a fine of three million pounds on Signora Omicidi for violating FFP regulations. The Serie A team also had to sign multiple documents to evade another fine of 19 million pounds.
Recently, the Goeba got relegated down the table for a deduction of 15 points. The matter was subject to appeal and the penalty was taken off by the Italian Courts. In the current situation, the team is placed in the third position. The UEFA is currently looking into the matter as the list entry has to be completed soon for the 2023-24 season. The investigation results are still awaited and it is a matter of time to see if Juventus could play in European competitions in the coming season.
Napoli’s win over Juventus has laid the carpet to end their 33-year-long wait for Serie A title
Giacomo Raspadori’s 93rd-minute volley against Juventus would probably end Napoli’s 33-year-long wait. The Napoli player scored a beautiful volley which was unstoppable for Wojciech Szczesny.
The Partenopei are dreaming to end their long wait of 33 years as players celebrate in the dressing room. The team from Naples last won their trophy back in 1989 -90 with the Argentine leg. The team was close to winning it five years back but lost to rivals Juventus by four points.
But five years down the line, the table toppers are living the dream again. They are leading the table with a difference of 17 points with Lazio and 19 points with Juventus. The Lucio Spaletti team would probably lift the trophy this Sunday if they win against Salernitana and Lazio fails to win against Inter.
For now, the jubilant Napoli team would lock horns with Salernitana. The team fathoms their luck to go in their favor. Argentina has just won the World Cup in the winter. Napoli wishes to be the cherry on the cake with the Serie A title in spring. These two will probably add as the best tribute to Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona.
