Karim Benzema set to miss these big clashes after injury: Reports

Karim Benzema
After being forced to leave the field with a limp just 30 minutes into the match against Celtic in the Champions League Group F opening, there were worries that Karim Benzema had sustained a severe quad injury. The Frenchman is allegedly expected to miss 7 to 10 days due to a quad injury, as Real Madrid announced on Wednesday.
Karim Benzema, a striker for Real Madrid, is set to miss 7 to 10 days due to a quad injury. Benzema will miss the Nations League, Mallorca, RB Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid matches. After he hobbled off during Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Scottish Premiership champions Celtic on Tuesday night, there were immediate worries that the club’s talisman might be out for an extended amount of time. He seemed to be experiencing problems with his right leg. Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, wasn’t really concerned.
In his post-game press conference, the Italian said “o wait for tomorrow’s tests”.
“The first scan doesn’t seem like anything very serious, but we have to wait until tomorrow. It’s still not known if it’s muscular. It’s not clear. That’s why we have to wait for tomorrow.”

Eden Hazard will be a idle replacement in Karim Benzema’s absence

After an MRI scan at Real’s training base at Valdebebas on Wednesday, the La Liga champions confirmed that he has suffered a muscular problem. The brief statement read: “After the tests carried out on our player Karim Benzema by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle and an overload on the quadriceps, both in the right thigh. Pending evolution.”
But as of right now, it appears that Benzema will not play in the forthcoming La Liga match at the Santiago Bernabeu against RCD Mallorca. Instead, Eden Hazard who scored against Celtic, is expected to start in Benzema’s place.
If the Frenchman’s injury is severe, it might put Los Merengues’ attempts to defend their La Liga and Champions League titles in jeopardy. The success of the Spanish capital club last season was largely down to the UEFA Best Player of the Year, so any time he spends on the sidelines will be a setback. Benzema’s injury scenario is currently not looking good, and when the medical exams are completed later today, a clear image of his health should emerge.
