The 27-year-old Coventry midfielder has played 14 matches this season, scoring his second goal across all competitions with this remarkable FA Cup strike. Initially considered a promising talent in Chelsea‘s reserves, Kasey didn’t fulfill his potential and spent several years in the Championship with clubs like Huddersfield Town, Derby County, Bristol City, Blackburn Rovers, and Swansea City before joining Coventry in 2022.
In the game where Coventry triumphed over Oxford United, a third-tier team in the English Football League, Kasey Palmer netted a remarkable 25-yard goal. His strike increased Coventry’s lead to 3-1 in an exciting opening to the match at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Assisted by midfielder Ben Sheaf near the halfway line, Kasey’s right-footed shot found the bottom right corner after skillfully maneuvering past an Oxford player.

The deadlock in the game was broken by Coventry in the 8th minute when Joel Latibeaudiere scored a close-range header from the first corner. Oxford United quickly equalized in the 10th minute, but Coventry regained the lead just a minute later with a goal from Ben Sheaf.
